A Solar Eclipse as we ready to launch
My brother sent me this photograph that he took on his farm in Jacksonville Oregon USA on Friday last (14th October 2023). The path of the eclipse stretched across the Pacific states and then back down through Central America. Those areas in its path enjoyed a spectacular view of the moon passing across the face of the sun and, like many others, my brother and his wife purchased special glasses for the occasion.
Although I look at the stars most nights of the year, my own experience of an eclipse was a disappointing view on a cloudy day in 2002 (?) from a car park in Milton Keynes. One day I shall get to see a full eclipse but in the meantime David & I consider this to be a good omen for the imminent transition from project Eclipse to a full fledged Eclipse Private Office in a few weeks time.
